Bethany Community Middle School is a tuition-free public charter school open to all North Carolinians.
BCMS follows the Rockingham County Consolidated Schools Calendar.
BCMS consistently excels according to all state and federal standards. Most recently, BCMS achieved the highest composite (Math and Reading) End of Grade (EOG) test scores of all Rockingham County Middle Schools.
A small school community allows our teachers and staff to get to know every student on a personal basis. This enables us to provide a safe, nurturing learning environment. Approximately 20 students per class allows individualized attention to each student’s needs.
Parents receive a weekly newsletter and grade level bulletins. Due to our small size, our teachers are uniquely accessible to parents.
BCMS has a fully integrated Character Education Program which includes a daily Character Education class and continues throughout every aspect of the students’ school day.
All BCMS students including 6th graders are eligible to participate in BCMS team sports including soccer, boys’ and girls’ basketball, boys baseball and girls softball and cheerleading squad. Our teams play other schools in the Central Carolina Conference.
BCMS provides bus transportation to satellite locations in Rockingham County.
BCMS offers lunches from various local vendors such as Chick-fil-a, Subway and Golden Corral.
