FEBRUARY 7TH INCLEMENT WEATHER DAY
Due to built-in inclement weather days in the school calendar, we will not need to make up the day we missed on February 7th.

SCIENCE FAIR BINGO NIGHT
Join us on Friday February 21st for our Science Fair Bingo night.  Bring a covered dish and a 2 liter drink and enjoy a fun evening of games and prizes. All Middle School Science Fair projects will be on display and you can vote for the People’s Choice Award. Voting is from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm and we will start eating around 6:30 as we play Bingo. We hope you can join us!

LOST AND FOUND
Misplaced that new jacket or lunchbox? If your student has left anything at school, please have them look in the lost and found located in the cafeteria for their lost items. Any items left in the lost and found after February 28th will be donated. 

HIGH SCHOOL YEARBOOK FEBRUARY FLASH SALE!
HS yearbooks have temporarily been reduced back down to $40 for the month of February. E-mails with a link to place a yearbook order went out this week.  To order a yearbook, please visit www.yearbookordercenter.com and use the code 17986. Please see Ms. V if you have any questions.

SCHOOL-WIDE PEP RALLY
We will be holding a school-wide pep rally to recognize our middle school and high school athletes on Friday, February 14 during 8th period. 

11TH GRADE ACT TESTING
The 11th grade students will be completing the ACT on February 25.  Students taking the ACT may leave school once all testing is finished.  The 11th grade students have received a Junior Letter today with more information about the test. Also, check the school website for a link to register for test taking information on the ACT site. We also need proctors to assist with testing. Please consider volunteering and call the school. 

SUBSTITUTE TEACHER POSITIONS
We are expanding our pool of available substitute teachers. If you are interested, or know anyone who may be interested, please visit the Substitute Employment page on the school website (www.bcschoolnc.org/substitute) or contact the main office. Candidates complete an application and security steps prior to being considered for hiring.

TIS THE SEASON…COLD AND FLU SEASON THAT IS!
As I am sure many of you are aware there are a lot of cold and flu symptoms going around right now. Symptoms may include: fever, chills, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headaches, and fatigue.

INCLEMENT WEATHER NOTIFICATIONS
BCS typically follows the Rockingham County Schools’ inclement weather schedule. Families will receive a robocall with information regarding delays or cancellations. Additionally, we post this information to WFMY News 2, Fox 8 News, WXII News 12, and the Bethany Community School PTSO Facebook page.

RELAY FOR LIFE
